Why Reviewsion Can Import External Reviews, but Not Export Them

External marketplace reviews are import-only; only Shopify-collected reviews can be bulk-exported

Updated this week

Why marketplace-collected reviews stay put

  1. Data ownership – The buyer shared reviews with Etsy, eBay, or Amazon, not with Shopify.

  2. API trust rules – Reviewsion's marketplace keys are strictly read-only; exporting the data would violate platform terms.

  3. Privacy & compliance – Redistributing marketplace reviews could breach both platform policy and privacy law.

Reviewsion's purpose is to collect reviews for products sold on Shopify and display external reviews in your Shopify store—not to serve as a bulk exporter for other platforms.

What can be exported?

Any review originally collected for products sold on Shopify (including reviews collected through Reviewsion's Review Request campaigns, or those first gathered by Judge.me, Loox, or another Shopify-based tool then later imported into Reviewsion). After you upload their CSV, these reviews are treated as Shopify-native and can be exported from Reviewsion.
