How Reviews Are Chosen
To make sure only the most impactful reviews are used, Reviewsion creates a pool of top reviews for each of your products. Here's how those reviews are selected:
Positive Sentiment: Only reviews with clear, positive wording are considered.
5-Star Ratings: The review must have a 5-star rating.
Detailed Content: Reviews with more written content are prioritized over short or generic ones.
Media Included: Reviews that include images or videos are given extra weight to improve visual impact.
Recency: Newer reviews are prioritized to reflect the current state of your products and customer experience.
This pool is created per product, ensuring that each product showcases its own strongest reviews—rather than pulling from your entire catalog.
How Reviews Are Assigned to Blocks
Once the pool is created, Reviewsion automatically assigns reviews from it to your theme blocks, based on what each block needs. For example:
Mini Carousel: Shorter reviews are prioritized to fit the compact layout.
Media Carousel: Only reviews that include images or videos are selected.
Featured Review: The single most impactful review is chosen per product or shop.
Each block is treated individually, so Reviewsion aims to assign different reviews to each one. However, if your review pool is limited, you may occasionally see the same review appear in multiple blocks. As your store collects more high-quality reviews, variety across blocks will naturally improve.
How You Can Influence Automatic Assignments
While the process is automatic, you still have control:
Starred Reviews: If you star a review, it jumps to the top of the priority list. Reviewsion will always favor starred reviews when assigning content automatically.
Manual Assignments: Any review you manually assign to a block will override automatic choices. For example, if a block supports up to 15 reviews and you've manually picked 5, Reviewsion will fill the remaining 10 from the pool.
Continuous Updates
Automatic assignment isn't a one-time setup. Every time new reviews are imported, Reviewsion re-analyzes them in real time and updates the pools and blocks accordingly. This ensures your store is always showcasing your most up-to-date and engaging feedback.
