Global Theme Colors in App Settings
All theme colors are set globally in the Reviewsion app settings. This central setup ensures your brand colors are consistent across all blocks, making setup fast and foolproof โ while still allowing more advanced styling via custom CSS.
Advanced Customization via CSS
Every block includes thoughtfully named CSS classes for precise targeting. If you want deeper control than the standard settings provide, you can easily customize styles globally or per block.

Block Background Customization
Most blocks only support changing the section background color. This ensures they can either match your storeโs background or remain transparent โ a critical detail for seamless integration with your theme.
How Theme Colors Work
When using Reviewsion blocks, you configure two theme palettes in your app settings: one for light mode, and one for dark mode. Each block then lets you choose which theme to apply individually.
โ
The Five Base Colors
Each palette includes five primary color selections:
Star Color
Background Color
Text Color
Accent Color
Border Color
These act as the foundation of your theme. Reviewsion automatically generates a full set of styles โ like subtle text variants, hover colors, and dimmed elements โ based on your chosen palette. This keeps the design polished and cohesive across all blocks.
โ
You are, of course, welcome to override any of these using custom CSS if you need to.
โ
Per-Block Theme Selection
Every block gives you the option to select either the Light Theme or Dark Theme. This is a per-block setting, allowing you to tailor the appearance of each section.
This is especially helpful if your Shopify theme uses alternating light and dark sections โ for example, a light section followed by a dark one, then light again. You can match each blockโs theme to the surrounding section, keeping the design visually balanced and easy to read.
Extra Color Controls
Two blocks include additional color customization options:
These offer more granular color controls โ letting you override specific UI elements (like badges or text) beyond what the base theme provides.
